About

Hi there! I’m Jessa Challa!

I am a community leader with a background in software development, web development, and geographic information systems (GIS). I focus on creating digital tools and resources that help connect and empower people in the Greater Grand Rapids area. By leveraging technology, I aim to promote positive social impact within the community.

I often speak at panels on topics like diversity in technology, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and career and leadership advice. Also, I’ve led coding workshops for both adults and children. I believe technology can drive positive change. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion with others whenever I can.

Beyond technology, I also love the arts. I play the piano and ukulele and create vibrant paintings. These creative outlets keep me grounded and inspired. The values of justice, equity, and human connection guide all my work.

Feel free to contact me if you’d like to discuss having me speak at your event or collaborating on a community-centered project. I’m excited to connect with you!
